The New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault was founded in 2000 by rape crisis centers in New York City in order to advocate for the needs of survivors and the programs that serve them. The organization’s mission is to prevent sexual violence and reduce the harm it causes through education, advocacy, and research.
As NYCAASA’s communications consultant, I served as the project manager and lead writer on the re-launch of their website. I spoke to and collaborated with the organization’s staff to identify the features and content they wanted to highlight. I also worked with with Compose[d], an external web development team that consists of front and back-end developers and UX designers.
